PUBLIC NOTICE
Land Use Permit/X-C Travel/Nenana to Kantishna R.
LAS 27150
Mike Holz has applied to the Division of Mining, Land and Water for a Land Use Permit for winter cross-country travel on state land beginning near the City of Nenana, Section 23, Township 4 South, Range 8 West, Fairbanks Meridian. The purpose is to drive a Case 450C Dozer to a Native Allotment on the Kantishna River. The route will follow well-used existing trails with most of the route being on the Brice Trail. The proposed travel will be for March 2009 during good snow cover and river ice conditions. This Land Use Permit is being adjudicated pursuant to AS 38.05.850 and 11 AAC 96.
The public is invited to comment on this proposed Land Use Permit. The casefile LAS 27150 is available for review at the address listed above. Any comments, objections, or expressions of interest concerning this proposed cross-country travel should be received in the office no later than 5:00 pm on February 18, 2009. Further information is available at the above address or by contacting Stu Pechek at 451-2733. Those commenting on this action will be notified when the DMLW finalizes its decision on this request.
